Preparing for your Mountain Bike or Sedona Hiking Experience:

Enjoying your Mountain Biking or Sedona Hiking Adventure should include planning for Sonoran Desert conditions. There are several Sedona Outfitters that will assist you and ensure you have all the right equipment. Most trailheads will require the purchase of a Red Rock Pass available at many locations throughout Sedona. From the Red Agave you can ride from our property without the hassle of time that it takes to drive!!!

  • Tell someone where you are going and your expected return time.
  • Bring a map of the trails you are taking and check the weather before setting out.
  • Wear appropriate headgear and shoes and take a good SPF 30 sunscreen…sunglasses too.
  • Take extra water, desert conditions can require up to a gallon a day to avoid dehydration.
  • They take up a little room but a compass and basic first aid kit can come in very handy.
  • Don’t forget your camera and extra film or memory cards and batteries.
  • OK, you’re ready to enjoy the spectacular views of Sedona’s Red Rocks and desert vistas.
